C. indivisa is a slow-growing, evergreen erect tree reaching heights of 3m or more. The lance-shaped, blue-green leaves are relatively broad at 10-30cm wide and from 0.6-2m long with an orange-brown midrib. Small, white, star-shaped flowers borne in dense clusters in summer are followed by tiny purple-blue fruits
'Squirrel' is a robust, compact, dwarf evergreen azalea with funnel-shaped, bright reddish-orange flowers in late spring
A. micranthum forms a large shrub or small tree with arching branches and reddish young shoots and greenish-white flowers. Toothed foliage turns orange, yellow and red in autumn
N. obvallaris is a bulbous perennial to 30cm tall, with glaucous, strap-shaped leaves and solitary bright yellow flowers with flared trumpets and slightly paler perianth segments, opening in early spring
'Brookfield Delight' is a Lilliput dahlia growing to about 50cm, the single flowers having orange rays and a yellow disk
'Jury's Yellow' is a compact and erect evergreen shrub with medium-sized, anemone-form white flowers with conspicuous yellow petaloids in the centre
'Becky Towe' is an upright herbaceous perennial with bright pink, mauve-eyed flowers set against green and cream variegated foliage
'Crimson King' is a vigorous medium-sized deciduous tree. Leaves large, 5-lobed, deep purplish-crimson all summer. Flowers reddish-orange, in clusters on leafless branches
'Emerald Feathers' is a vigorous, deciduous conifer making a large, well-shaped conical tree to 25m, with flat sprays of soft, light green, yew-like leaves that turn brownish-pink and yellow in autumn. The bark is shaggy and red-brown; flowers and cones insignificant
A. × prunifolia, the purple chokeberry, is probably a natural hybrid between A. arbutifolia and A. melanocarpa. It has a multi-stemmed habit, white flowers in late spring followed by purple-black berries and matt, dark green leaves with brilliant autumn colour
