It is included in an evolving list of plants carefully researched and chosen by RHS experts. Divided into 3 groups these lists, linked below, are maintained by a team of RHS staff and are reviewed annually.
'Jury's Yellow' is a compact and erect evergreen shrub with medium-sized, anemone-form white flowers with conspicuous yellow petaloids in the centre
'Bristol Ruby' is a deciduous shrub of upright habit, with dark green leaves and dark crimson, bell-shaped flowers in late spring and early summer
Amber is a moderately-vigorous climber with double, nodding flowers composed of ribbed tepals, varying from amber to creamy-yellow, and tinged pink on the back of the petals. Flowering in late spring and early summer then again in early autumn; profuse seedheads follow
P. triloba is a clump-forming perennial up to 50cm tall, with palmately lobed, mid-green leaves turning yellow in autumn. Branching stems support flower heads 10cm across consisting of small, trumpet-shaped, scented, yellow flowers with five petal lobes
'Silver Velvet' is a low-growing, clump-forming perennial to 30cm tall. Its rounded, lobed, fleshy leaves are a deep purple-brown colour with silver-grey markings along the veins and red-purple undersides. Upright stems bear loose clusters of pale pink-white flowers in the autumn
Black Scallop is a usually-evergreen creeping perennial with very glossy, dark, near-black, scalloped leaves, and short spikes of deep blue flowers in late spring and early summer. The leaves will become darker in lighter, colder conditions
'Paradigm' forms a large clump of foliage to 50cm high; leaves are yellow, widely-margined dark-green and flowers are palest lavender to near-white, borne on stems 50cm high, in late summer
'Macrophylla' is a compact evergreen shrub to 20cm tall, with broadly oval, dark green leaves and terminal clusters of globose pink and white flowers in spring and early summer
T. kurabayashii is a clump-forming perennial, to 60cm tall, with egg-shaped green leaves, mottled purple and silver, reaching up to 22cm long and 17cm wide. In spring, single dark maroon flowers with three upright petals, up to 10cm long, are borne above the leaves
Argentea Group are herbaceous perennials to 30cm, forming a clump of ovate, green-edged, silvery leaves, with leafy stems bearing deep violet-purple flowers opening from dull red buds
