Your donation will help young people shape their careers
Our training opportunities in horticulture are truly transformational and support the future of horticulture. You might already know about the skills shortage currently affecting the horticulture industry. The RHS is working to turn this situation around. Your donation will help ensure more young people have the chance of a career in horticulture.
Our Apprenticeship Scheme runs for two years. Apprentices are based at one of the four RHS Gardens with one day a week spent at a local college. Apprentices get to experience many different aspects of horticulture, such as working behind the scenes at RHS Chelsea Flower Show. Currently, we have 23 apprentice places across our four RHS Gardens. We aim to increase this to 32 by 2021 with your help. Through our School of Horticulture, we also provide students with accredited training courses. Students at all of our gardens train by working alongside experts gaining vital knowledge and skills. They also spend a third of their time learning in lectures or master classes. We train more than 30 horticultural students every year. With your help we aim to give more people the chance to begin a fulfilling career in horticulture. You can support our apprentices and students by making a donation today.
