School visits to Rosemoor are free

Rosemoor offers school groups a wide variety of exciting environments to explore including the fruit and vegetable garden, woodland, lake and stream garden as well as two children’s play areas – The Brash and The Copse. We welcome all students including those with special educational needs.

Guided and self-guided visits

As well as our guided visits, with workshops for primary and secondary schools, we also have a range of resources for self-guided visits covering many parts of the school curriculum including art, numeracy and the natural world. Teachers can download lesson plans to help them before, during and after their visit.

Peter Buckley Learning CentrePeter Buckley Learning Centre

The Peter Buckley Learning Centre at Rosemoor is our base for all education visits. It is a stunning resource for schools to use and from which to explore RHS Garden Rosemoor.

It has two large classrooms, a covered outdoor space - so we can work whatever the weather, toilets and cloakrooms. We also have a teaching garden with a vegetable patch, a sensory garden and three dipping ponds. The surrounding area is open to visitors and includes a forest garden, our allotment area and lawn - where children can release some energy. There is also our impressive cob shelter which can be used as a classroom.

We are pleased to have been awarded the Learning Outside the Classroom quality badge.
