Help us nurture a brighter future for gardening

We’re committed to staying at the forefront of gardening research, helping us all understand the horticultural challenges facing gardeners today while safeguarding the gardens of tomorrow.

You can contribute to our dedicated scientific research by getting involved in these projects:

  • To get your garden buzzing, look out for our RHS Perfect for Pollinators label on wildlife-friendly plants in your local garden centre or nursery
  • Help our scientists explore the environmental impact of gardening by growing plants in urban spaces from rooftops to railings, in our urban greening initiative
  • Keep your eyes peeled, to help our scientists track the spread of plants, pests and diseases across the UK. Take the box tree caterpillar for instance – a recent arrival in the UK which we need your help to track.
